Custom Artwork is the Answer

Blu-ray Daily is building a massive archive, and we want your covers!

Ever notice how horrendous the covers of some really great films look when they finally reach store shelves? Attribute that to greedy distributors trying to capitalize on star power with last-minute headshot compilations that are passed off as acceptable. Well this is the information age, and we don’t have to settle for what the studios feed us!

There is hope for quality in the world of custom covers.

There is hope for quality in the world of custom artwork.

Starting soon Blu-ray Daily will be compiling your custom Blu-ray artwork into the most comprehensive archive on the Internet, our Custom Artwork section. In addition to indexing submissions, this new section will offer the tools you need to get started; including creation tutorials and templates, information on the best printers and paper stock to use, and community-based award systems that will offer exposure for your creations on our front page.

I remember when Righteeous kill came out on DVD, yeah I know, awful movie but the black and white image that supported the marketing was actually pretty strong. Apparently the distributor was forced by a large UK retail chain that it wanted the photographic version which you see now which is bloody awful and gets lost on the shelf. If you market a product with one image for your main cinema release at least either retain the continuity or develop the image further to expand on your I.P – do not change it.

And while we’re on it whay does Nic Cages hand look so ridiculous on all the Bangkok Dangerous material?….because the gun he was holding was airbrushed out to satisfy the liberals and wimps among the public.

Fantastic post, I’ve contributed it for the section for first time franchisees. I discovered this write-up on Google, is it possible to point me to other relevant advice that you’ve authored?

  4. Could you please translate your website into Italian as I’m not that comfortable reading it in English? I’m getting tired of using Google Translate all the time, there is a little WordPress plugin called like global translator which will translate all your posts automatically- this will make reading articleson your great blog even more cosy. Cheers dude, Showcasing The Best Websites About Thailand!
