Night at the Museum 2 Blu-ray street dated
Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment announced it would release Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, the Ben Stiller comedy vehicle, on Blu-ray this December for US audiences and in November for UK fans.
Family friendly director Shawn Levy, and comedian Ben Stiller reunited for Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, the sequel to their 2006 holiday film, Night at the Museum. The summer blockbuster proved to be a runaway hit, grossing $412,800,000 worldwide.
The “Triple Play” release, which boasts a Blu-ray, DVD and digital copy of the family comedy, is street dated for December 1st in the United States. Fortunate UK owners will be able to nab the film a month earlier, when it hits retailers on November 9th.
The Blu-ray promises an extensive set of supplemental material, including two commentary tracks, several production features, eleven deleted scenes, an alternate ending and BD Live support. For fans of the slapping monkey, there are no less than three featurettes on Stiller’s pint sized adversary.
There’s also a featurette on the Jonas Brothers, but we wouldn’t mind if Fox omitted that.
